Pinestead Grove Farm is open to families and local photographers looking to use the farm as a natural, festive backdrop for their memories! Whether you’re capturing family portraits, engagement sessions, or holiday minis, our fields and evergreens offer a timeless Kansas setting.
While we don’t offer photography services or equipment, we’re happy to share our space for your creative work — with a few guidelines to help keep the farm beautiful and safe for everyone.

Casual Photos vs. Photography Sessions
We always welcome families and individuals visiting the farm to snap casual, personal photos of their experience — choosing a tree, sipping cocoa, or simply enjoying time together.
Please be sure to tag us on social media — @PinesteadGroveFarm — we love seeing your happy moments! However, any planned or structured photo sessions — whether or not a professional photographer is present — must be pre-scheduled.
Pre-Arranged Photography Sessions Include (but are not limited to):
All pre-arranged photography must be scheduled online prior to any session.
Unscheduled sessions will be asked to discontinue immediately.
Photography sessions are typically available on select weekdays, weekends, and evenings from October 1 – December 10, 2025, outside of public business hours for safety and guest experience.

Session Pricing & Details
Available Dates:
Photography sessions are available by appointment only, typically outside public business hours for safety and guest experience. Please request your preferred time by contacting us at [email protected] or by filling out the form below.
- Select weekdays, weekends & evenings between October 1 – December 10, 2025
- Time blocks: 1-hour, 4-hours, full-day, or multi-day options available
- 1 Hour: $65
- Half Day (up to 4 hrs): $225
- Full Day: $350
- Multi-Day/Custom: Starting at $500, negotiated in advance
- Payment is due in full to confirm your reservation.
- We accept cash, card, and electronic payment (link will be provided upon scheduling).
- Sessions are non-exclusive unless you book the entire day.
- Access to tree fields for scenic backdrops
- Use of props (within reason—please pre-approve large items)
- On-site parking for you + clients

Farm Guidelines for Photographers.
- Must have proof of business insurance
- Photographer and clients must stay within designated areas.
- Trees, fences, and property must not be cut, moved, climbed, or damaged.
- Photographer is responsible for supervising clients at all times.
- No open flames, glitter, confetti, or littering props
- Props must be removed after each session
- Pets allowed but must remain leashed, and cleaned up after
- Do not allow animals to mark the Christmas Trees; it damages the tree
- No drone use without written permission, and not during open farm hours.
- Farm is a working agricultural property; terrain may be uneven, muddy, or slippery. Photographer assumes all risks and is responsible for informing clients of such risks.
- Use of farm equipment for props is prohibited
- Payment is due at the time of booking to reserve date(s) and time(s).

Do you allow photography during tree season?
Yes! Sessions must be booked outside of operating hours (before opening or after closing).
Can we reschedule due to weather?
Yes, we’ll gladly work with you to adjust for rain, snow, or extreme cold.

Farm Courtesy & Compliance
Pinestead Grove is a family-run, working farm, and we take great care to keep it a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable place for everyone who visits. We kindly ask that all guests and photographers follow our photography policies and general farm guidelines at all times.If a photo session — whether scheduled, spontaneous, or casual — does not comply with these guidelines, becomes disruptive to farm operations or guests, or poses a safety concern, it may be ended immediately. Guests may also be asked to leave the property at our discretion.
